Profile
Artist, researcher and art consultant with more than twenty-five years of professional practice spanning conceptual works in drawing, sculpture and browser-based media, museum exhibition work, teaching, and consulting for artists on the material, engineering and engagement planning of site-specific installations. The practice research sits in systems aesthetics and systems theory, reaching into physics and philosophy: through a series of conceptual works I identified formal structures that map onto the alignment problem in artificial intelligence, and the framework applies established tools from physics and information theory (catastrophe theory, tensor networks, hyperbolic geometry) to model alignment as a structural property of cognitive architecture. Goldsmiths accepted the PhD on the strength of the formal framework. I am now moving from theoretical development to computational implementation.
